On July 9, 2009 Cazenovia Lake was surveyed to observe the efficacy of the Renovate (a.i. triclopyr) treatment that took place four weeks earlier. During an earlier survey that was done approximately two weeks after application, the Eurasian watermilfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum) was found bent over and lying down on the bottom of the lake. The village is looking for volunteers to assist at the boat launch weekdays from 5-8 pm.
The village is committed to reducing the potential for invasive species entering the lake. The volunteers will be asked to verify that the boat/trailer has a current permit and will be asked to complete an inspection of the boat and trailer prior to entering the water. Training will be provided
