      All are cordially invited to the Cazenovia Public Library’s first annual Golden Ticket Event on Sunday, July 26th from 5 to 8 pm at 3842 Charles Rd. in Cazenovia.  
      It will be an exciting evening featuring a silent auction and raffle to win original works of fine art to benefit the library endowment and to highlight exceptional local artists.
      Featured artists include Sylvia Wyckoff, Jim Ridlon, Nicora Gange, Joan Beck, Chris Baker, Bobbi Stinson, Deborah Wester, Dianna Slodowitz, Richard Walker, Roger Demuth, Chamelion Gallery, Allyn Stewart, Mary Padgett, Elizabeth Monroe, Drayton Jones, Gordon Muck, Patricia McGrath, Richard English, Jennifer Schutzendorf, Katrina Cobain, Jane Egan and Wayne Daniels.  
      Tickets are $75/patron $90, which includes a raffle ticket. Each attendee will have a chance to win! Additional raffle tickets will be available for $20 in advance or $25 at the event. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP by July 18th.

A Cazenovia Girl Scout troop just kicked off a yearlong mission to get 6,000 pairs of used athletic sneakers “back in the game.”
The eight fifth-graders want to donate a tractor-trailer filled with unwanted athletic shoes to Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program, a national environmental effort that has recycled 21 million pairs of sneakers since 1990.
They’re off to a good start.
