With Election Day approaching, Cazenovia Town Supervisor Liz Moran prepares to leave her post. Ralph Monforte is seeking the supervisor position running unopposed.
Moran has spent the last four years steering the town through building moratoriums and the comprehensive plan. She has her own business, Ecolab, and a family, and has decided to shelve her public life at this time.
Democrat Kristi Andersen, who was elected to the town board four years ago along with Moran, is running again. She will be competing with Republican candidates, incumbent Pat Race and newcomer Walt Joncas. Voters will be asked to select two of the three candidates on the ballot.
If the Republicans prevail, the town board will revert back to an all male cast, along with board members Sparky Christakos and Bill Zupan.
Either way, the political landscape will be altered as the Monforte era is ushered in.

Peggy Van Arnam
I am writing to encourage my friends and neighbors in the Village of Cazenovia to vote for Peggy Van Arnam for Village Trustee on June 16. A Village Trustee needs to be an incredibly good listener, well informed, fair, and invested in the community that she will represent. Peggy scores high marks in all those categories. I have had the pleasure of serving on several boards with Peggy and found her to be an extremely informed, dedicated, and efficient member.

Amy Weber Mann
I would like to write to express my enthusiastic support for Amy Mann in her run for election to the office of Village of Cazenovia Trustee.
I’ve lived in the village for 17 years, and known Amy and her husband Kevin as neighbors for much of that time. We’ve watched our neighborhood evolve toward a demographically diverse collection of families, some (like Amy)… Continue reading
