Jessica Moquin, of Earlville, N.Y., is assistant director of Cazenovia College’s Annual Fund. Moquin is responsible for managing the student Phonathon program, fostering donor stewardship, and cultivating student philanthropy through a new Student Legacy Council.

Cazenovia, NY- Seniors in Cazenovia College’s Studio Art and Photography programs have toiled the entire academic year to produce the varied work displayed the Cazenovia College Gallery for the next few weeks, and in the Eckel Hall basement studio. The exhibits are free and open to the public.

Malthus on Economic Theory, and Teaching Intelligent Design
Cazenovia, NY- Cazenovia College’s Faculty Library Lecture Series: “Great Minds - Great Ideas,” in cooperation with the Cazenovia Public Library and the Manlius Library, will conclude its Spring 2009 series on Tuesday, April 21 at 7 p.m. in each library. Lectures in the series feature noted faculty members from Cazenovia College who will discuss the lives and work of important thinkers who opened doors of opportunity for the human spirit. “Lessons from Malthus (and Others)” given by Dr. Peter Howe, assistant professor of economics. Many are familiar with the name Malthus, and most of those who recognize the name associate it with a theory of human growth that is in conflict with natural systems and capacity.

Betsy Hilfiger
Cazenovia, NY- Betsy Hilfiger, director of Community Affairs for the Tommy Hilfiger Corporate Foundation, Inc, will emcee Cazenovia College’s 36th Annual Fashion Show, “The Seven Deadly Sins,” at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 25, at the Schneeweiss Athletic Complex on Liberty St., in Cazenovia.
The Tommy Hilfiger Corporate Foundation places strong emphasis on giving young people educational and career-related opportunities, and is committed to investing in health-related organizations and cultural programs that impact a diverse population of young people. Betsy Hilfiger has directed the foundation since 2006.
Fashion shows come naturally to Hilfiger, who owned and managed one of her brother’s stores in Elmira for a number of years. Continue reading
