Casting Call at Cazenovia College

Auditions for “The Sound of Music” scheduled for Jan 25 & 28
      Auditions for Cazenovia College’s Annual Spring Musical are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 25 from 8:30 to 10 p.m., and Thursday, Jan. 28 from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Catherine Cummings Theatre, 8 Lincklaen Street in Cazenovia. Auditions are open to all; and auditioners should come prepared to sing.
      
      This year’s musical production is Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music,” to be staged April 9 through 11, and April 16 through 18. The show will be directed by David Lowenstein, artist in residence at Cazenovia College, and produced by theatre manager Colleen Prossner. For more information, please call 315-655-7238.

Good Works in the Community by Students at Cazenovia College

Service to others is a hallmark of Cazenovia’s educational philosophy
Cazenovia College continues to play a significant role in the local community. During the recent Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting, Cazenovia’s students, staff and faculty members were among the shoppers, and the College opened the doors of two of its village venues to community members.

Cazenovia College student wins Equine Breeders’ Scholarship

      Equine Studies major Kaitlin Garrity of Lanesboro, Mass., is the third Cazenovia College student to receive a $500 scholarship from the New York Thoroughbred Breeders Inc. (NYTB), based in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., since its inception in 2001.

Cazenovia College Receives $2 Million from the Reisman Foundation, the Largest Gift in its 185-Year History

Cazenovia College’s Art & Design Building will be named Reisman Hall in recognition of Dorothy and Marshall M. Reisman.

1-college-artCazenovia College announced today that it has received a $2 million gift commitment from The Dorothy and Marshall M. Reisman Foundation (DeWitt, N.Y.) for the naming rights to the College’s Art & Design Building.  This gift is the largest single gift in the College’s history.
